About FTF
From Shop Floor to the Living Room
Before Full Throttle Furniture, there was 7Fifteen Motorworks.
FTF Founder, John Kendall spent years immersed in custom automotive fabrication, building vintage Indy-inspired street-legal cars. Obsessing over every detail, hand-shaped aluminum panels, and structural steel fabrication. Working with raw metal every day led to an obvious question: why should the clean lines, honest mechanics, and durability of classic cars and vintage aircraft stay locked in a garage or hangar?
Full Throttle Furniture was founded to bring that engineering inside. At FTF we don't build decorative replicas or mount novelty parts to wood bases. We build furniture from the ground up the exact same way race cars and airframes are built: from structural steel tubing, aircraft-grade aluminum, and precision welds.
Rooted in Three Lakes, Wisconsin
For John, building furniture was about more than just a creative outlet—it was about investing in people. Headquartered in Three Lakes, Wisconsin, Full Throttle was started with a clear commitment to northern Wisconsin's skilled trades. Every piece we make is cut, bent, welded, and finished under our own roof by local fabricators. We believe in keeping manufacturing jobs here at home, supporting our community, and proving that world-class fabrication can come out of a small Northwoods town.
Shipping & Lead Times
Every piece that leaves our shop is built to order. Because our chairs are fabricated by hand rather than pulled off a warehouse shelf, our standard production and prep process can take up to 60 days before shipment, depending on design complexity, order quantity, and seasonal shop schedule. More information can be found on the Shipping & Lead Times page.
